About the Team
The Reserve Bank of Australia's Banking Department provides a range of banking services to Australian Government departments and agencies. Our Canberra branch plays a critical role in delivering these services locally, supporting customers through both digital and traditional banking channels.
About the Role
As a Bank Officer, you will join a small, collaborative team and report to the Canberra Branch Manager. You will work closely with colleagues across Banking teams, contributing to the delivery of day-to-day banking services and ensuring a high standard of customer support.
* Provide high‐quality customer service, including processing daily banking transactions.
* Support the Help Desk for the RBA's Online Banking Service and assist customers with enquiries.
* Maintain internal and customer accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Perform daily reconciliation processes and reporting activities.
* Assist with counter and teller services as required.
* Undertake general administrative duties, including records management.
About You
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Previous customer service experience is desirable but not essential.
* A willingness to learn and develop.
