We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team on a part-time, 6-month contract basis. Based in the beautiful Adelaide Hills, 15 minutes away from Mount Barker, this role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely processing for employees across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end payroll processing on a weekly/fortnightly basis
* Maintaining employee payroll records and ensuring data integrity
* Interpreting relevant awards, agreements, and legislation
* Managing superannuation, PAYG, and payroll tax obligations
* Processing new starters, terminations, and leave entitlements
* Responding to payroll queries in a timely and professional manner
* Assisting with payroll reporting and audits as required
About You
* Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing (essential)
* Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders
* Ability to work autonomously and manage deadlines effectively
* Police check required
