Join a high-impact team delivering on one of the NSW Government's key election commitments – Safe Staffing Levels.
This is an opportunity to contribute to workforce reform with statewide impact across NSW Health. You'll work closely with senior nursing/midwifery and industrial relations leaders to deliver the Safe Staffing Levels project. The role is dynamic and strategic, combining hands‐on project coordination and stakeholder engagement. You'll enjoy variety in your work, from liaising with Local Health Districts and Specialty Networks, supporting statewide implementation, by writing high‐level briefs, tracking project progress, providing reports and other project updates to relevant parties including the SSL Taskforce.
Nurse Manager Grade 4, starting salary from $151,844 - $154,505 p.a. plus Superannuation, with a 38-hour work week.
What you'll be doing
As the Senior Project Officer (Nursing), you will be responsible for a diverse range of priority project management activities.
* Coordinate and manage key elements of the Safe Staffing Levels project, ensuring key milestones are delivered on time.
* Undertake project documentation and prepare high-level written advice including briefing materials, presentations, and reports to a high standard.
* Liaise with Local Health Districts and other stakeholders resolve challenges and support implementation.
* Monitor project performance through the tracking of key indicators, identifying risks and mitigation strategies as required.
* Demonstrate initiative and ownership of assigned work, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and contributing to the development of effective strategies.
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
* The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
* The ability to work in a small dynamic team environment.
* Demonstrated experience in nursing/midwifery workforce management or a related nursing/midwifery leadership role within the public health system.
* Strong project and change management skills, including planning, stakeholder engagement, and risk mitigation.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in preparing briefs, reports and presentations.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively across complex stakeholder environments and manage competing priorities.
