Murrin Murrin Operations has an opportunity for a skilled Fixed Plant Mechanical Fitter to join our team located at our Murrin Murrin Operations.
Murrin Murrin Operations is Australia's largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WA's northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people.
The Role
The successful person will be responsible for undertaking planned & reactive breakdown maintenance work in our process plant. You will have experience working on a wide variety of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, fixed plant piping, valves and be familiar with laser alignment procedures. Previous experience with high pressure & high temperature Autoclaves will also be an advantage for our Refinery Area.
Ideally you will have experience with sizer screens, mills, thickener tanks & related agitators, and various pumps.
About You
* Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification (Essential)
* A current and valid manual Australian Driver's licence
* Proven experience with centrifugal and positive displacement pumps
* Proven experience working with all types of fixed plant piping, valves, and laser alignment
* Ideally have experience with sizer screens, mills, thickener tanks & related agitators, and various pumps
* Previous Autoclave experience (desirable)
* Experience working with area permit systems; safe work instructions and hazard identification
* Strong communication skills & excellent trouble shooting and problem‐solving abilities
