We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Texts & Traditions Teacher to join a growing and collaborative Secondary team. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who is enthusiastic about Islamic Studies, critical thinking, and supporting students in both their academic and personal development.
About the Role
As a Secondary Texts & Traditions Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and meaningful learning experiences that support students' understanding of faith-based studies while fostering reflection, respect, and critical thinking.
Working collaboratively with a supportive team, you will contribute to curriculum development, student wellbeing initiatives, and the broader life of the College.
Key Responsibilities
* Planning and delivering engaging Texts & Traditions lessons aligned with curriculum expectations
* Supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development
* Creating a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment
* Encouraging critical thinking, reflection, and meaningful discussion
* Contributing to assessment, reporting, and curriculum planning
* Participating in whole‐school initiatives and community activities
About You
The successful applicant will be a passionate, reflective, and student‐focused educator who is committed to delivering high‐quality teaching in a values‐based workplace.
Qualifications and Skills
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Secondary Education
* Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (essential)
* Strong classroom management and curriculum planning skills
* The ability to engage and inspire secondary students
* A collaborative and skilled approach to teaching practice
* A commitment to working within a values‐based school environment
