Position Overview
ConocoPhillips’ Australian headquarters are located in Brisbane. The focus is supplying Australian customers with natural gas and international customers with liquefied natural gas, primarily through the Australia Pacific LNG joint venture and the FPSO facility near Gladstone. The role is also connected to exploration activities in the Bowen, Surat, and Otway Basins.
About the Role
Reporting to the Australia Communications and Community Relations Manager, the Senior Advisor will develop and deliver high‑quality digital content and visual communications that support business priorities, strengthen audience engagement, and enhance the company’s reputation. Responsibilities include creating compelling content across digital and print channels, producing graphic design assets, and supporting internal and external communications through clear, audience‑focused messages, infographics and storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, create and manage engaging content for digital and print channels, including internal communications, social media, presentations, campaigns, publications and promotional materials.
* Design high‑quality assets that align with brand guidelines and support clear, effective communication across a range of audiences and platforms.
* Craft compelling written communication and messaging that promote business priorities, initiatives, advocacy and stakeholder engagement activities.
* Translate complex information into clear, accessible and visually compelling content tailored to different audiences.
* Maintain consistency of messaging, tone, style and visual identity across communication materials.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify communication needs and deliver content and design solutions that meet business objectives.
* Manage multiple projects and deadlines, coordinating content development, design production and approvals processes as required.
* Manage and maintain the Australia Business Unit’s website, social media channels and SharePoint sites.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of digital content, communication materials and visual storytelling approaches to enhance audience reach and engagement.
* Develop templates, resources and communication tools to improve efficiency and consistency across the organisation.
* Monitor communication and content trends, tools and best practices to inform creative and effective delivery.
Qualifications
* TACTICAL alignment with ConocoPhillips’ SPIRIT Values.
* Tertiary qualifications in visual arts, communication design, communication, marketing or related discipline.
* Demonstrated experience working in a corporate environment on complex communication solutions.
* Minimum 7 years’ experience in brand and digital management.
* Experience with digital creative software and digital video/animation software (Adobe Creative Suite).
* Experience in website content management programs and SharePoint.
* Ability to work with senior stakeholders on complex communication and develop creative solutions.
* Strong project management skills and a demonstrated ability to manage digital development projects across a variety of channels.
* Strong written and verbal communications skills.
* Ability to meet deadlines.
* Strong team player.
* Encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* Preferred: Demonstrated social media, UX and CX knowledge; copywriting, photography and videography skills.

In this role you will be employed by one of ConocoPhillips’ third‑party labour hire providers. You will not be an employee of ConocoPhillips and the terms and conditions of your employment will be subject to an employment agreement with the labour hire provider.
