About the Role
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
* Providing technical expertise to customers and internal stakeholders, translating complex challenges into actionable solutions.
* Supporting product innovation by working closely with Digital R&D to advance next-gen digital products and reverse engineering initiatives.
* Evaluating designs against legal requirements and 'Safety in Design' principles, ensuring compliance and safety.
* Validating digital products through trials and performance evaluations in collaboration with the sales team.
* Delivering insights on market trends, customer pain points, and technical growth opportunities.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Strong technical acumen and mechanical/electrical trade qualifications.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering documents such as drawings, specifications, and CAD models.
* A customer-first approach, ensuring technical support and solutions align with market needs.
* Collaboration skills, working closely with the Engineering Team Lead and Product Manager to bring innovations to life.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to review and refine product designs for optimal performance.
* Attention to detail, ensuring high-quality execution of engineering activities from validation to product documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
Prior experience in mechatronics or electrical engineering is considered beneficial but not mandatory. Relevant experience and formal trade qualifications are also welcome. Essential mining experience with excavators and haul trucks in a mining environment.
