Role Overview
As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for operating machinery and equipment to assist with the assembling, processing, packaging, and quality assurance of items along a production line, while leading and coordinating a team of five employees to ensure productivity, safety, and quality standards are met.
This is a full time position which may involve weekend or public holidays work and some unplanned hours of work where the need arises (paid accordingly).
Duties and Responsibilities
* Operating production machinery, including calibrating equipment, monitoring gauges, making adjustments as required.
* Set up cleaning and maintenance schedules to prevent problems by keeping machines in good working order.
* Inspect finished products, take samples and undertake product quality control.
* Prepare products for dispatch.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Have at least a relevant AQF Certificate II qualification or equivalent; OR 3 years of relevant work experience.
* Current Forklift Licence.
Required Experience
* At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
