The Position
The Group of 100 (G100) is known for empowering Australia's leading Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) to build better businesses for the future. The Board is seeking to appoint a dynamic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to meaningfully advance the Association's next phase of growth and influence. Working with Australia's leading finance professionals, and other stakeholders including across government, the CEO will strengthen the organisation's standing as a credible and influential contributor to public discourse on business thinking.
Reporting to a Board of industry leaders, the CEO will lead the development and execution of strategy, ensuring priorities are translated into measurable outcomes and that the operating and membership model continues to evolve for relevance, scale and financial sustainability. The remit includes bolstering member value and developing a positive business policy agenda and impactful advocacy.
The ideal candidate will have senior executive leadership experience, ideally within a member-based, professional or policy driven organisation. Alternatively, they will be a highly networked finance or corporate executive with clear capacity to lead the organisation. They will have a deep understanding of the finance profession, corporate governance and Australia's business and regulatory environment. Equipped with the proven ability to engage credibly with Board-level, C-suite and senior public sector stakeholders, they will have the capability to lead strategy, advocacy, policy development or thought leadership initiatives. Importantly, they will be recognised as an outstanding communicator who has a commercial mindset and who demonstrates a proactive approach, showing a genuine bias towards action and continuous progress.
The CEO will lead a small remote team and can be based in Sydney or Melbourne.
