Your New Role
As a Senior Grid Engineer, you will lead grid-related activities across wind, battery, and solar hybrid projects, supporting the full lifecycle from development to operation. Key responsibilities include:
Leading the grid connection process, including engagement with NSPs, AEMO, and technical consultants.Providing strategic network insights for M&A and managing due diligence.Supporting early-stage project design and network connection strategies.Managing EPC, eBoP, and O&M tender processes, including equipment selection and contract negotiations.Overseeing compliance during construction (R1, registration, hold point testing, R2).Ensuring ongoing compliance and performance of operational assets.This role requires occasional site visits and offers the opportunity to influence major renewable energy projects in Australia.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.Minimum 4 years' industry experience, including 2 years in a similar role on grid-scale renewable projects in Australia.Strong knowledge of NEM grid connection processes.Proven contract and project management skills.Commercial mindset with understanding of legal concepts in construction and O&M contracts.Excellent communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders effectively.Valid driver's licence and eligibility to work in Australia (no visa sponsorship).
