About the Role
Reporting to the FP&A Manager, the Commercial Analyst plays a key role in supporting retail performance through high-quality analysis, reporting, and commercial insight.
This role is focused on understanding store-level trading performance, sales and margin drivers, cost control, and investment outcomes. Working closely with FP&A, retail operations, merchandising, and support teams, you will help translate financial data into practical insights that support informed decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and re-forecasts across the retail network
* Deliver weekly and monthly trading performance reporting, including variance analysis and commentary
* Provide store-level and region-level analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
* Analyse key retail drivers including sales mix, gross margin, promotions, labour, occupancy, and inventory
* Support new store, refurbishment, and investment business cases
* Partner with operational and commercial teams to understand performance drivers
* Maintain and improve financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools
* Assist with ad-hoc commercial analysis and strategic initiatives as required
About You
* Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
* CA or CPA qualified
* Experience in a commercial finance role (preferably retail)
* Strong analytical and financial modelling capability, with advanced Excel skills
* TM1 experience
* Experience working with large datasets and regular reporting cycles
* Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with non-finance stakeholders
