Working with our generous donors, enjoy a more predictable, people-focused environment, with less hospital pressure and the chance to be a key part of the community.As a Registered Nurse, you will bring your fantastic customer-facing skills and passion to deliver an exceptional service, while working together to ensure Australia’s supply of blood products.A day in the centre could see you:Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donateProvide clinical oversight and guide other team members in the blood collection processComplete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin testsSet up machines and collections equipmentInsert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and plateletsManage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistanceMonitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donationOur paid and flexible self-paced training program has a balance between on-the-job practice and online class schedules to ensure that you are well supported. Besides having a real passion to deliver an exceptional donor experience, you’ll need to be able to:Occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgsFrequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood productsUtilise your expertise having completed a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and hold a current AHPRA registrationBe flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shiftsHave your own vehicle and driver's licence.
