Your Opportunity
MAC River provides a safe and supportive residential rehabilitation service for young people grappling with chronic drug and alcohol issues. The service offers a three‐month residential stay followed by six months of aftercare in the community.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Residential Youth Workers: Walk alongside the young people every day, support their recovery and wellbeing, provide care, structure, guidance, and positive role‐modeling. Work shifts include days, nights, and weekends.
* Case Workers: Act as the key point of contact for the young person, MAC River, and external services. Assess needs, develop and manage individualised case plans, and coordinate services to support recovery, safety, and transition out of residential care.
* After Care Case Workers: Serve as the bridge between residential treatment and independent or community living, ensuring gains are maintained, reducing relapse risk, and supporting long‐term recovery.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Qualifications related to youth work, social work, or related fields.
* Relevant experience working with young people with substance use and trauma issues.
* Clearance to work with children/vulnerable persons and a national police history check required.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Permanent Full‐time and part‐time opportunities available. Youth Workers: $ per hour permanent / $ per hour casual plus super and penalty rates. Case Workers: $ to $ per year full time plus super and not for profit salary packaging.
