Tas Rural Supplies is a locally owned farm and pet supply store, proudly supporting farmers, livestock producers, horse owners, and the wider community. We are seeking multiple Retail Assistants to join our friendly team. Each role will average 2–3 days of work per week, with flexibility available across staff.
Responsibilities
* Provide customer service and assist with product enquiries
* Operate POS system and process transactions/invoices
* Receive deliveries and restock shelves
* Maintain store presentation and merchandising standards
* Load/unload customer purchases (feed bags, fencing, farm gear, etc.)
* Use forklift for pallet handling and stock movement (if licensed)
About You
* Rural/farming knowledge or background highly desirable
* Current forklift licence (LF class) strongly preferred
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Physically fit and able to safely lift 20kg feed bags
* Reliable, punctual, and a team player
* Eligible to work in Australia (Australian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work visa)
* Retail or warehouse experience an advantage, but not essential
* Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required
* Current driver's licence and reliable transport essential
