About the Role
Reporting to a Partner, this role is ideal for an experienced HR generalist who enjoys variety, autonomy, and making a difference in a close-knit professional services environment. You'll be the first point of contact for staff and management, supporting HR operations, employee engagement, and business-wide initiatives while fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the go-to HR contact for staff and management, managing sensitive and confidential matters.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, induction, and HRIS processes (Employment Hero experience desirable).
Support payroll, leave management, compliance, and reporting in partnership with the Practice Manager.
Lead performance management processes, training, development, and staff engagement initiatives.
Coordinate firm functions, events, and wellbeing activities.
Provide advice and coaching to managers and leaders on employee relations, policies, and HR best practices.
Contribute to succession planning and talent management.
Maintain accurate HR documentation, policies, and procedures in line with legislation.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 5 years' HR generalist experience, ideally within professional services (accounting, legal, or consulting).
Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, ER, and HR best practice.
Demonstrated experience in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Proactive, approachable, and solutions-focused with strong organisational skills.
Experience with HRIS systems such as Employment Hero is highly desirable.
