Your team welcomes you with open arms
As our new Senior Development Engineer, you'll join our Client Connectivity Team and work on our core payments infrastructure handling high-volume transaction processing, reporting, and client-facing APIs. This is established, business-critical systems where reliability, performance, and scale matter. You'll work on optimizing and extending the platform that sits at the heart of what Banking Circle does.
We work end-to-end, from specification and design through to deployment and support, and we are embedded with Business and take business decisions with our stakeholders and clients.
Our main development hub is in Copenhagen, Denmark, but the team is actively looking to expand to Sydney, Australia and Warsaw, Poland. In this role you therefore have the opportunity to shape the new engineering team in Sydney or Warsaw, or join the existing development hub in Copenhagen, Denmark.
We offer a hybrid work model for our employees to allow for flexibility and productivity. However, we do expect you to spend most of your time in the office to build community and efficiency in the team.

Things we'll look for on your resume
You have strong backend development experience in a modern object-oriented language together with experience building and operating production systems at scale. Experience with our specific stack is valuable but not required if you bring strong fundamentals and relevant domain knowledge.
You have the ability to own features end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, deployment, support and be comfortable making architectural decisions and trade-offs. A background in payments, banking, or financial services is preferred.
As a person you are a clear communicator who can work effectively with business stakeholders. You have a product mindset and care about solving real problems, not just writing code.
