About the Role
Your role as a Specialist Reliability will be to provide technical support to the Maintenance team by applying Reliability and Asset Management principles. This role is based at our Mt Arthur site on a Monday to Friday basis (with flexibility). This is a residential opportunity where you will enjoy the exceptional lifestyle of the Hunter Valley region.
Key Accountabilities
* Drive Defect Elimination by monitoring and improving equipment performance in relation to cost, performance and reliability
* Complete targeted root cause analysis (RCA). Develop and implement subsequent improvement actions and monitor their effectiveness
* Develop and optimise maintenance strategies that enable plant safety, reliability and performance to be maximised
* Provide coaching to the maintenance execution team in regard to defect elimination and root cause analysis
About You
* Have a demonstrated high customer focus through previous roles and experience
* Be able to establish good working relationships with the maintenance, production, planning and engineering teams
* Demonstrated experience in applying reliability principles in Processing Plants or similar heavy industry environment
* A trade background or degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics), Maintenance Management or an extensive related experience will be advantageous
* Ability to influence, engage and communicate with stakeholders effectively across all levels of the business
* Demonstrated ability to lead and problem solve, make plans, take initiative to identify improvements and implement effectively

Working at an open‐cut coal mine involves certain risks, including operating in or around heavy machinery, exposure to environmental hazards such as tailings dams, and managing fatigue from long or night shifts. You must understand these risks and commit to following all safety requirements and procedures designed to keep you and others safe.
