Position Information
Evans High School is a comprehensive, co‐educational secondary school that has served the South Blacktown community since 1973. The school caters for over 840 students with 4% of students of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds and 70% Language Other than English and 28% EAL/D learners. The setting includes Y7-12, the largest Intensive English Centre, a Support Unit addressing Autism and a Return to School Centre servicing Western Sydney. The curriculum includes the full range of academic subjects and vocational education pathways, and the HSC is delivered via a compressed model.
Qualification & Selection Criteria
* Approval to teach ITX Technology Mandatory, ITW Technology Timber and willing to teach ITM Technology Metal
* Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement, collaboration, and safety in hands‐on learning activities.
* Strong ability to work collaboratively with other TAS teachers to develop and implement integrated curriculum programs, share best practices and support each other in delivering high‐quality learning experiences within the TAS faculty.
