We are seeking a Senior Information Security Specialist to join our team. This role is a vital part of our information security strategy, responsible for assisting in the uplift of our information security maturity and capability.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and protecting classified information, creating and coordinating processes, systems, governance, and awareness to ensure that sensitive information is only accessible to those who need it.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and classification of project information.
* Monitor the effectiveness of information handling practices and ensure compliance with policies, standards, and procedures.
* Investigate security breaches and implement system changes to maintain security.
* Maintain accurate and complete security records and respond to support requests according to set standards.
* Collaborate with teams to develop and maintain information security policy, standards, procedures, guidelines, and documentation.
* Participate in information security forums to promote cross-AEMO collaboration and alignment.
* Collaborate with HR to ensure personnel security and integrity within programs.
* Implement comprehensive security measures to safeguard assets, facilities, and personnel from unauthorized access.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in information security in consulting or medium/large organizations.
* Commercial approach to delivering fit-for-purpose information security outcomes.
* Ability to build and sustain positive relationships with stakeholders.
* Adaptability, resilience, and strong influencing skills.
* Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience with PowerBI and report creation.
* Australian citizenship and ability to attain national security clearance.
Education/Professional Certifications:
* Degree or tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
* Familiarity with PSPF, ISM, Essential 8, SOCI.
