The Opportunity

We're gearing up to launch the first standout, Andaz Gold Coast and we're looking for a sharp, data driven, detail‑obsessed Chief Accountant to set our financial house in perfect order from day one. This is a rare opportunity to shape the financial systems, policies and culture of a hotel from the ground up
What You'll Do
Pre-Opening Phase
* Establish all accounting procedures, controls, and financial workflows
* Set up the chart of accounts and ensure alignment with brand and ownership guidelines
* Support budget planning, CAPEX tracking, and pre‑opening cost control
* Implement accounting systems (POS/PMS integrations, inventory, procurement)
* Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and external partners to ensure readiness
* Train the finance team and guide other departments on financial standards
Operational Phase
* Oversee daily accounting operations and month‑end closing
* Monitor revenue, expenses, payroll, and cash flow with precision
* Ensure accurate financial reporting, P&L, and balance sheet integrityManage compliance with local regulations, tax requirements, and internal controls
* Work closely with department heads to drive cost efficiency and financial awareness
* Support the Director of Finance in strategic planning and forecasting
