Project Engineer Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in a mid-senior level role. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of challenging projects across various industry sectors.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget. You will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage site project teams and liaise with key clients and stakeholders.
The scope of work will include planning and scheduling of construction activities, quality assurance, cost and time management, preparation of management reports, resolving site issues, and coordinating internal and external resources.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a tertiary qualification in civil engineering or similar, 5-15 years' experience in project management, and a proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach.
Key Responsibilities:
* Working on tenders
* Planning and scheduling of construction activities
* Management of site project teams safely
* Quality Assurance, Cost and Time Management
* Preparation of management reports
* Resolving site issues in a timely manner
* Liaising with key clients and stakeholders
* Coordinating internal and external resources
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
* 5 – 15+ years' management experience on civil construction projects
* Project management qualifications will be advantageous
* Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
* Proven ability to effectively lead and delegate
* Effective problem solving abilities
* Ability to resolve conflict and manage client expectations
* High level of organisation and time management skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
