About the role

A Resource Recovery Team Member Driver supports the delivery of essential waste and recycling services across the Inner West community.

This hands‐on role involves operating waste collection vehicles while leading a small crew to complete daily collection runs safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Services include garbage, recycling, garden organics, clean‐ups and lane cleaning within a dynamic, team‐based environment.

Key responsibilities
* Operate waste compaction and collection vehicles across day or night shifts
* Lead and support a small team to complete assigned collection runs
* Collect, load and transport waste and recyclables across multiple service streams
* Maintain compliance with WHS requirements, road rules and Council procedures
* Engage respectfully with community members and minimise disruption

Remuneration

$75,908.56 – $83,841.16 + 12% Superannuation

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications
* Class HR Drivers Licence, basic computer skills and literacy.
* Demonstrated strong customer service focus and being conscientious and reliable.
* Demonstrated ability to perform work safely at all times and actively ensuring the safety of your team members and others, including the public and community at large.
* Suitable level of fitness relative to position.
* Ability and preparedness to work flexibly across any collection services in a team‐based customer‐focused environment.
* Demonstrated experience in operating mechanical road plant in a high‐density urban environment.
