About the Role:

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Associate Nurse and/or Midwife Unit Manager to join our Special Care Nursery.

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is a leading provider of public healthcare services in South Australia.

As an Associate Nurse and/or Midwife Unit Manager in our Special Care Nursery, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of our most vulnerable patients and their families.

In this multifaceted role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Special Care Nursery, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care to newborns requiring specialised attention. Your expertise will guide and support our nursing and midwifery teams, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- provide clinical leadership and ensure adherence to best practices in neonatal care
- collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centred care plans
- manage staffing resources, ensuring efficient utilisation and optimal patient care
- foster a positive and supportive work environment, promoting staff engagement and professional development
- participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant policies and guidelines

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate OR registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
