Job Overview
Looking to join one of Australia's most integral federal government departments? This department helps to make the life of all Australians safer when they travel and is looking for a Cybersecurity Risk Analyst. Based in the Melbourne, Brisbane or Canberra office, you will provide advice and guidance across the enterprise. Taking an advisory role, you will consult across the organisation on risk, assurance, audit and compliance matters.
Responsibilities
* Guiding stakeholders on cyber security risk and assurance matters
* Assisting programs with certifications and accreditations
* Routine reporting on security and performance
* Representing cyber security in CAB meetings
* Working through RFx panels and selections
* Quality control of relevant vendors and providers
Requirements
* Australian citizenship is mandatory due to security requirements
* NV1 clearance required (or ability to qualify quickly)
* 5+ years in cyber‑security risk and assurance analysis
* Large enterprise or government experience
* Background in both IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments
* Expertise in NIST frameworks and certifications
* CISSP, CISA or CRISC certifications preferred
Additional Information
This is a 12‑month contract role in a highly prestigious federal government department, with an offer up to $1300 per day based on skills and experience. The role can be based in either Canberra, Melbourne or Brisbane and offers a 2‑day work‑from‑home arrangement.
