About the Opportunity
PARC Engineering is currently recruiting experienced SMP Supervisors and Superintendents for FIFO 2/1 construction projects commencing June 2026. Successful candidates will play a key role in delivering large-scale resources projects, overseeing structural, mechanical and piping construction activities in a challenging and rewarding site environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise daily SMP construction activities in accordance with project schedules and specifications.
* Lead and coordinate work crews, subcontractors and trades personnel across site construction activities.
* Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently and to required quality standards.
* Promote and enforce compliance with site safety procedures, permits, SWMS/JHAs and company policies.
* Conduct pre-start meetings, toolbox talks and daily work planning sessions.
* Monitor productivity, workforce performance and progress against construction schedules.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, isometrics, P&IDs and construction documentation.
* Liaise with project management, engineering, QA/QC and client representatives to resolve site issues.
* Ensure materials, tools and equipment are available to support planned works.
* Identify and elevate construction risks, delays and technical issues.
* Verify works are completed in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, client specifications and quality requirements.
* Maintain accurate site records including daily reports, timesheets, progress tracking and incident reporting.
* Mentor and support trades personnel, leading hands and junior supervisors.
* Foster a positive team culture focused on safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
Role Requirements
* Minimum 5 years experience in onsite SMP Supervisor or Superintendent roles within major mining construction projects.
* Strong knowledge of structural steel erection, mechanical installation and piping systems, including associated inspection and testing requirements.
* Well‐developed leadership, organisational, and problem‐solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple work fronts.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
* Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Boilermaking or related discipline.
* Valid Australian Driver's Licence.
* S26 Modules & Exam or willingness to obtain.
* OHS Construction White Card.
* National Police Clearance.
* Working at Heights & Confined Space within 2 years (preferred).
* First Aid within 3 years (preferred).
