Your new role
In your new role as a BI Analyst at Hays you will be responsible for harnessing the many sources of Hays data and transforming it into reports, analysis and insights that help shape the Marketing strategy and optimise performance. In doing so, this role will see you work across the following areas:
Reporting - Design, develop and maintain a suite of reports and dashboards that track key Marketing health metrics across the customer acquisition and engagement mix
- Work with key marketing leads to ensure continuous improvement and accuracy in tracking performance of media and campaigns
- Work with external teams to understand how Hays data is captured, structured, transformed and stored at Hays, thus ensuring accurate interpretation of data
Insights, Analysis & Optimisation - Proactively provide Business Intelligence and insights to key marketing leads to help inform and optimise marketing strategy
- Proactively identify, monitor and understand the behaviour of KPIs through dashboarding and deep-dive analysis. Recommend improvements to marketing processes and operations as a result
- Produce effective data visualisations which are clearly understood
- Work with marketing leads during the campaign planning process to design bespoke reports and programs to accurately measure performance against defined objectives. This may include designing A/B tests or holdouts to determine impact or uplift
- Conduct post-campaign analysis in line with agreed campaign reporting framework
- Support the digital optimisation program, analysing hypotheses put forward by stakeholders to help improve engagement and conversion
- Support the effective planning and delivery of key strategic projects by providing analytical expertise for sizing, scenario modelling and impact analysis
Audience/Database Segmentation and Marketing Automation - Write queries to segment the Hays database, defining specific audiences for targeting through marketing automation and advertising platforms
- Work closely with Digital and CRM leads to ensure audience parameters are optimised for maximum engagement/ROI
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have:
- experience working in a fast-paced environment with experience using Marketing Automation and/or campaign management platforms to manage high volume direct marketing programs.
- Experience using statistical models to predict customer behaviour, drive segmentation and inform campaign activity would be highly advantageous
- Exceptional skills in data mining, transforming and analysis
- Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI
- Highly proficient in SQL
- Experienced in AB/multi-variate testing best practice
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Tealium is highly desirable

Your new role Reporting to the APAC HQ you will operate as a stand alone HR Manager for just over 100 employees, managing all generalist HR activities across Australia and New Zealand.
