Join the Opening Team at Sauce Bistro – Ashgrove

Sauce Bistro is a new restaurant opening soon in Ashgrove, led by a team with experience in top kitchens across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and overseas. Operated hands-on by the owners, we are building a small passionate team of skilled hospitality professionals who are eager to learn.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a venue from the ground up and gain real experience across all areas of the restaurant business.

What We're Looking For:

Chef

Work directly alongside the Head Chef/Owner in a kitchen that values skill development, precision, and creativity. Our focus is on crafting everything in-house, from baking bread to pastry, preparing fish and butchering meat to the highest standards. You'll be exposed to techniques and knowledge passed down from hatted and Michelin-starred kitchens, while working with the best seasonal produce available.

Key Responsibilities:

* A great attitude and strong willingness to learn
* Punctuality and high personal standards
* Ability to run a section during service
* Attention prep levels and daily ordering
* Maintain your own knives and equipment

Bar Supervisor

As Bar Supervisor, you'll collaborate with the General manager and shape the beverage program and guest experience from day one. You'll maintain high quality service standards and ensure the bar is always operating smoothly. This is an ideal role for someone passionate about cocktails, service, and furthering your knowledge. Someone with an interest in wine and sake, willing to learn from a qualified sommelier.

Key Responsibilities:

* Good knowledge of wine, spirits, and classic cocktails
* Experience with basic cocktails and coffee making duties
* Maintaining cleanliness, presentation, and stock rotation of the bar
* POS operation, Booking systems, Service reporting, and cash handling
