The Role Available
As our Leading Hand, you are the crucial link between the Site Supervisor and the crew. You won't just be pointing fingers; you'll be hands-on and heavily involved in:
Leading daily pre-starts and toolbox talks to ensure everyone is across the day's targets and safety requirements.
Interpreting construction plans and coordinating plant, labour, and materials to keep the job moving efficiently.
Working closely with operators, pipelayers, and labourers to ensure work is completed to quality standards.
Championing site safety, ensuring compliance, and actively identifying and mitigating hazards.
Mentoring junior crew members and keeping team morale high.
What You'll Bring
Extensive hands-on experience in civil construction (subdivisions, earthworks, drainage, or roadworks)
Previous experience as a Leading Hand, or you are a highly experienced senior operator/pipelayer who is ready to take the next step
The ability to read, interpret, and execute construction drawings and plans.
A Construction Induction White Card and a current Driver's License. (First Aid, CPR, and machinery VOCs are highly regarded).
A problem-solver with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a zero-compromise approach to safety.
