Software Integration Developer
to join their multi-disciplinary engineering team in Canberra. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of
software development and infrastructure engineering
, building complex
Software Defined Infrastructure (SDI)
environments that underpin critical national capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement software components as part of an
Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
project
* Integrate multiple third-party software and hardware systems into a unified SDI platform
* Collaborate with engineers and architects to plan and deliver secure, scalable solutions
* Apply
test-driven development (TDD)
and CI/CD practices using GitLab
* Develop and extend
Ansible modules
to automate network and infrastructure tasks
* Produce clear, detailed documentation for software, systems, and integration processes
* Troubleshoot complex integration issues and contribute to continuous improvement
What You'll Need:
* 4+ years'
Python
development experience
* Strong background in
Ansible
, including module development and automation workflows
* Hands-on experience with
network device management
* Familiarity with
software-defined infrastructure
and IaC principles
* Experience with
CI/CD pipelines
, TDD, and collaborative code review
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Current NV1 clearance minimum
