Role Overview

This Senior Manager, Retirement Confidence role is responsible for positioning AMP and North as trusted technical support partners for superannuation and retirement advisers. The role leads the Retirement Confidence Specialists team and delivers technical content across multiple channels.

Responsibilities

* Participate in the retirement leadership team, guiding strategy and consulting with AMP/North leadership.
* Develop new retirement technical strategies, articles, case studies and training materials.
* Deliver engaging retirement content to advisers via online and in‐person channels.
* Lead the Retirement Confidence Specialists, supporting advisers to provide excellent retirement outcomes.
* Assist in achieving retirement objectives in Wealth Distribution, including the sale of Lifetime, Guarantees and activation of new advisers.
* Provide leadership and guidance to Specialists, including their career development.
* Participate in the Regulatory Change Forum to identify opportunities and threats.
* Serve on the Retirement Confidence Hub Advisory Committee, taking leadership of relevant initiatives.
* Explore and develop AI tools to improve adviser support.
* Review technical materials for sign‐off, including marketing and disclosure documents.
* Build and maintain relationships with external peers, regulators and industry bodies.

Qualifications

* Eight or more years of experience in financial services, in a technical role or as a financial adviser with product, management, regulatory and compliance exposure.
* Tertiary qualifications in accounting, law, commerce, finance, business or financial planning.
* Proven experience managing and implementing regulatory change.
* Track record of operational and/or organisational change.
* Ability to deliver results via leadership and coaching.
* Ability to contribute to business planning and present to senior leadership and external events.
* Experience writing articles and media that simplify technical details for advisers and clients.
* Strong project management skills with multiple active projects.
* Knowledge of retirement products, superannuation, taxation, social security, life insurance, estate planning, and financial planning issues.
* Experience in identifying, assessing and mitigating operational risk.
* Insight into competitor propositions and industry trends within the wealth and retirement space.
