Responsibilities
* Coordinate, direct, and control the Patient Travel Assistance Scheme (PTAS) service, including daily supervision and support, ensuring high‐standard service provision in line with state and community expectations.
* Apply advanced communication and interpersonal skills to engage members of the public, manage complex negotiations, and exercise initiative and judgment in complaint management and dispute resolution.
* Provide advice and support to PTAS operational staff when determining patient eligibility, interpreting the PTAS Operational Protocol and applicable frameworks, and negotiating solutions as needed.
Qualifications
* Possession of, or the ability to quickly acquire, detailed knowledge of PTAS and hospital policies and procedures relating to patient travel and accommodation.
* Demonstrated leadership and support for staff, with the ability to monitor quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of service provision.
* Well‐developed interpersonal, communication, consultation, negotiation, and conflict‐resolution skills, able to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and service providers.
Work Details
Permanent full‐time day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight. Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant.
Salary
$81,915 to $94,263 per annum, plus a 12% superannuation contribution. Salary range aligns with the Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
