The Position
The Site (Warehouse) Financial Controller is responsible for financial reporting and performance management of the site through weekly and monthly PnL reporting. The role also establishes, improves, and monitors financial processes and controls related to the site. Additionally, this position supports the Financial Operations team in improving billing processes and partners with site leadership and FBPs to drive profitability. The incumbent acts as a bridge between operations and finance, proactively preventing issues that impact PnL accuracy and health metrics. This role has responsibility for three sites in NSW (Moorebank, Marsden Park and Kemps Creek) and requires onsite work for three days per week. Key Responsibilities
* Guide the Delivery organization on proactively managing operational risks, creating and maintaining guardrails to protect the organization against revenue leakages.
* Monitor and drive actions to ensure the PnL reflects accurate gross profit at the country, entity, product, and customer level.
* Review controls related to profitability, identify root causes of control ineffectiveness, and drive mitigation plans together with business functions.
* Review revenue billed and accrued versus estimated revenue and conduct deep dives into any abnormal incidents.
* Review effectiveness of new platform/process rollouts, conduct on‐site reviews, and provide recommendations to address local gaps.
* Review compliance of Customer Implementations as per Corporate Governance, Policy and Procedure.
What We Are Looking For
* Graduate qualification in Accounting, or an equivalent professional qualification such as CA/CPA.
* 2–5 years of experience in a Finance Analyst role or a similar capacity.
* Previous experience working within the logistics industry (warehousing) is advantageous.
* Expertise with Excel and performance‐management tools (e.g., PowerBI).
* Experience with SAP and automation tools (e.g., PowerQuery) is advantageous.
* Strong stakeholder‐management skills and attention to detail, plus the ability to bridge the gap between operations and finance.
Preferred candidates will be required to undertake reference checks and pre‐employment screening, including a National Police Check. Where applicable, background checks including employment history and educational history (including qualifications) may be required.
