Job Summary
Permanent part‐time opportunity – 47.00 hours per fortnight plus shifts on a rotating roster Monday to Sunday at the Parramatta Donor Centre, New South Wales. Salary starts at $33.12 per hour with penalties (if applicable), superannuation, salary packaging and more.
About the Role
Step into a rewarding role as a Nursing Assistant where you will bring excellent customer‐facing skills and a genuine passion to deliver an exceptional service to our donors. You will play a key role in supporting donors through their donation process. Full training is provided; all you need is the curiosity and motivation to learn the process of collecting blood and biological products.
Responsibilities
A day in the centre could see you:
* Greet and interview potential donors to assess eligibility and suitability
* Create a donor experience they'll love and want to return to; complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
* Set up machines and collection equipment
* Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets
* Monitor donors post‐donation and assist them with rebooking future donations
* Work collaboratively to achieve collection targets
Required Skills & Experience
* Application of customer‐facing experience to create positive, welcoming interactions
* Comfort with needles and blood/biological materials
* Occasional lifting of 9–22.7 kg
* Support and foster a fantastic team culture
* Frequent standing, walking and bending for setup and packing of machines and blood products
* Flexibility to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shifts
* Ability to provide own transport to a mobile donation unit
