We have opened an internal expression of interest for a role within the Group Safety team, and we’re looking for one of our own to step into the opportunity. Reporting directly to Zach Humphrey, this role will play a pivotal “engine-room” role in supporting the continued rollout of HammerTech and broader Group Safety Strategy initiatives, while gaining diverse exposure to the Group business. The opportunity may suit someone currently working in a safety, HSE, systems, administration, project coordination or operational support role who is organised, practical and interested in contributing to safety improvement across BMD. This role can be based from any BMD global office. The final role title and level will be shaped around the successful candidate’s experience and capability. This may include a graduate, administrator, coordinator or advisor-level appointment. About the opportunity This role will provide hands-on coordination and support for the HammerTech rollout across new and in-flight projects. HammerTech is an important initiative under the Group Safety Strategy and will help create a more consistent way of managing contractor onboarding, permits, plant and compliance requirements across our projects. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, BU safety leads, the digital project team, HammerTech support and the Group Safety team to help projects prepare for deployment, support users through the change and keep rollout activities on track. The role will support: day-to-day HammerTech deployment activities, including project run sheets, migration schedules, readiness checks, action tracking and close-out rollout planning for new and in-flight projects, working with project teams to ensure each project is prepared, onboarded and supported user onboarding, system access, training attendance, super user support and project-level communications data migration and project set-up activities, including checking required records, identifying gaps and helping project teams prepare information before migration issue, risk, decision, lesson learned and action tracking across multiple projects practical user support during deployment, including basic troubleshooting, feedback capture and escalation of system or process issues simple user guides, FAQs, toolbox/prestart material and other communications that help changes land clearly with project teams reporting on deployment progress, adoption, project readiness, action close-out and key risks requiring leadership attention. Following the initial HammerTech deployment, the role will also contribute to broader Group Safety Strategy initiatives, including critical risk work, Full Power Safety, system simplification, communication and engagement activities, governance support and other improvement projects.
