Senior Consultant - Digital Risk – Risk Consulting
The opportunity: As a Senior Consultant in Digital Risk within our Risk Consulting sub service line, you will be part of a dynamic team helping organisations manage technology related risk across complex digital environments. You will support clients to understand and address digital and IT risks, strengthen governance and controls, and respond to an evolving regulatory and risk landscape. This role offers exposure to a broad range of industries and clients, working across internal audit, IT risk, technology assurance and advisory engagements, and collaborating closely with EY teams and client stakeholders to deliver practical, high quality risk outcomes. This role can be performed from any EY office across Australia and may be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours.
Responsibilities
* Deliver broad ranging Risk Consulting engagements, including technology risk, internal audit support, business processes and controls advisory, ERP and systems risk reviews, data governance, resilience and technology enabled Governance, Risk and Compliance solutions.
* Deliver digital and IT risk engagements in support of Internal Audit activities, including evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of IT controls such as application and IT general controls.
* Support the planning and execution of engagements, including development of scopes of work, risk and control matrices, work programs and related planning documentation.
* Prepare clear, high quality client deliverables and collaborate with engagement teams to meet service expectations, timelines and quality standards.
Skills And Attributes For Success
* Relevant experience in internal or external audit and/or risk consulting roles, with exposure to technology risk, IT controls and governance across IT, financial and/or operational environments.
* Strong problem solving skills and business acumen, including the ability to analyse complex information, manage time effectively and communicate clearly in both written and verbal contexts.
* Proven ability to build and manage effective stakeholder relationships within engagement teams and with clients, contributing positively to team outcomes.
Ideally, you'll also have the skills and attributes below but don't worry if you don't tick all the boxes. We're interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
* A tertiary qualification in information technology, business, accounting, finance or a related discipline.
* Exposure to recognised frameworks and standards such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001 or SOX.
* Professional certifications such as CISA, CIA, CISM, CISSP or similar, or a willingness to work towards them.
* A proactive, curious mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
