The University of New England (UNE), in partnership with Cogninet Australia, has announced an excitingPhD scholarship opportunityfor students interested in advancing machine learning applications in healthcare and education.
This research-driven program focuses on developing AI-powered models to analyse medical imaging, videos, and text-based reports, with the goal of enhancing bothpatient careandstudent learning outcomes.
Sponsorship Package
The scholarship provides atax-free annual stipend of $36,862 ***** rate), paid in fortnightly instalments, for a duration of3.5 years (full-time doctoral study).
In addition to the living allowance, the award coversfull tuition feesandSingle Overseas Health Cover (OSHC)for international candidates.
Successful applicants will also gain valuable exposure throughindustry partner engagementand aninternshipas part of their doctoral journey.
Eligibility Requirements
This opportunity is open toboth domestic and international students, new or continuing, enrolling full-time in adoctoral degreeat UNE'sSchool of Science and Technology.
Applicants should:
Hold a background in computer science
Demonstrate proficiency in Python programming
Be available for industry collaboration and professional training
Preference will be given to candidates who can studyon campus, though online options may also be considered.
