About the Role
This is a newly created position within SNM Consulting, established to support the Director and the broader team as the business continues to grow. Based at our East Perth head office, the Senior HR Coordinator will be the operational backbone of the business — assisting with policies and procedures, supporting back-end HR functions, attending client sites to take HR briefs, and providing recruitment support across the SNM portfolio. This position is part-time working Wednesday to Friday in the East Perth office (3 days per week).
The Director is predominantly client-facing and on-site with clients. This role ensures the East Perth office runs smoothly and that internal HR operations are maintained to SNM's high standards. You will report directly to the Director and work with a high degree of autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
* Policies and Procedures
o Draft, review, and maintain HR policies and procedures for SNM and its clients.
o Ensure all policies are current, compliant, and aligned with relevant Australian employment legislation.
o Support the Director in the annual policy review cycle, including award update periods (1 July and 1 January).
o Maintain the SNM policy library and version control.
* Back End HR Operations
o Manage internal and client HR administration, including assisting with employment contracts and documents where necessary.
o Support compliance and audit activities as directed by the Director.
o Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
o Assist with the preparation of HR reports, correspondence, and advisory notes.
* Client Engagement
o Attend client sites to take HR briefs and support client engagement as directed by the Director.
o Liaise professionally with client contacts, maintaining SNM's reputation as a trusted HR partner.
o Prepare client-facing documents, including advisory notes and correspondence, to SNM's standards.
* Recruitment Support
o Assist with end-to-end recruitment activities including drafting job advertisements and position descriptions.
o Support candidate screening, shortlisting, and coordination of interviews.
o Prepare recruitment documentation including offer letters and onboarding materials.
o Liaise with clients regarding recruitment briefs as the role develops.
About You
Minimum 3-4 years' experience in an HR generalist or coordinator role.
Demonstrated experience in policy and procedure drafting and maintenance.
Sound knowledge of the Fair Work Act 2009, National Employment Standards, and Australian employment legislation.
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
High level of discretion and confidentiality.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
Experience working in an HR consultancy or multi-client environment.
Exposure to recruitment and selection processes.
