Your new company
Client is a specialist construction consultancy based on the Gold Coast. They offer traditional project management services from inception through to project completion and, as a result of growth, they are looking to engage the services of a suitably qualified Client Side Project Manager.
Your new role
The role is a traditional client-side PM role. The PM will work with asset owners or developers to help manage projects to completion. Current projects are primarily multi‐residential, with some smaller sections of aged care, hospitality, health and education.
Majority current projects are at delivery end, so ideally candidates would have either worked as a Contract Administrator for the main contractor or have decent experience acting as a supers representative for the client.
The role is client facing, requiring an effective positive, proactive communication style.
What you'll need to succeed
The client is looking for an experienced client-side PM. Candidates will either be tertiary qualified in quantity surveying or construction management and ideally have experience working for a main contractor and/or a client-side PM firm.
The projects are not huge in value and complexity, so the role sits at the PM (as opposed to SPM/PD) level. The PM will manage own projects and potentially act as a Contract Administrator to Senior/Director on larger projects.
The client is still boutique, so they seek someone who is engaged, hardworking and passionate about helping grow the business by exceeding clients' expectations. They also look for someone who is willing to step out of their lane to help other PMs if required.
