We are seeking a highly capable and hands‐on DevOps & Platform Engineer to support and evolve a real‐time AI‐driven SaaS platform operating on AWS. The platform processes large volumes of live and streaming data and supports analytics, optimisation, AI agents, forecasting, and operational applications. You will work closely with a small technical team consisting of AI engineers, domain engineers, and data analysts. This is a highly collaborative role where you will help maintain, scale, improve, and deploy new platform capabilities across cloud infrastructure, backend services, APIs, deployment pipelines, and operational systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, solving complex engineering problems, and working across infrastructure and application layers in a fast‐moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Platform & Cloud Operations
* Maintain and operate the AWS production environment
* Ensure platform reliability, uptime, scalability, security, and observability
* Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
* Improve monitoring, logging, automation, backup, and recovery processes
* Support development, staging, and production environments
Infrastructure & Deployment
* Manage AWS infrastructure including compute, networking, storage, IAM, and container services
* Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
* Support Docker and Kubernetes/EKS deployments where appropriate
* Assist with scaling and optimisation of data‐intensive and real‐time services
Engineering & Feature Support
* Work closely with AI engineers and analysts to deploy and operationalise new platform capabilities
* Support integration of recent APIs, services, data pipelines, and applications
* Assist with deployment of new analytics features, AI agents, optimisation services, dashboards, and KPIs
* Help bridge backend services, infrastructure, and frontend deployment requirements
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues across cloud, infrastructure, backend, and deployment layers
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong DevOps and AWS cloud engineering experience
* Experience operating production SaaS or real‐time systems
* Hands‐on experience with: AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch)
* Terraform or Infrastructure as Code tools
* CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
* Docker and containerised services
* Strong Linux, scripting, and automation skills (Python preferred)
* Experience working closely with developers in small technical teams
* Ability to work independently and take technical ownership
* At least 4 years of experience
Highly Desirable Experience
* Kubernetes/EKS
* Time‐series or streaming data systems
* AI/ML or LLM deployment pipelines
* FastAPI or backend API frameworks
* Event‐driven or microservice architectures
* Observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK/OpenSearch)
* Experience supporting optimisation or simulation systems
