Principal Mechanical Engineer - Technical Expert
We are recruiting for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Team. As a technical expert, you will provide engineering advice to a range of minerals processing projects and their engineering teams across various commodities.
Location: Osborne Park head office initially, relocating to St Georges Tce, Perth by the end of 2026.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance of project design products with the Design Procedure.
* Ensure design products comply with applicable legislation, standards, client, third party and project requirements.
* Ensure design products are delivered in accordance with the project schedule and budget.
* Provide advice and expertise to the design progress, issues, holds, change, risk, and deliverables register.
* Ensure designs are fit for purpose and consider all aspects, including cost, constructability, operability, and maintainability.
What You Can Do
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* 15+ years' experience in minerals processing design.
* Demonstrated experience as a Design Engineer delivering minerals processing projects.
* Chartered Professional Engineer (desired).
* Proven ability to provide technical expertise to engineering teams.
* Detailed understanding of multi-discipline design delivery within the minerals processing sector.
* Solid understanding of statutory and industry regulations and HSE practices.
* Knowledge and practical application of design theories, principles, and practices.
* Advanced level of expertise with engineering technical detail.
* Demonstrated planning and organisation skills.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Commitment to continued professional development.
* Strong work ethic.
