About the Role
Disability Support Workers provide exceptional care and promote choice and control within the lives of Sunrise2Sunrise participants. Their role is to assist participants day‐to‐day living, ensuring that they have maximum opportunity for developing valued and valuing lifestyles.
We are looking for Disability Support workers for both our Accommodation and Community services. This involves supporting participants who live in their own homes or residential services:
* Assist participants with daily living activities and personal care.
* Provide companionship and emotional support.
* Support clients to participate in community and social activities.
* Contribute to developing and implementing individualised support plans.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for all participants.
About You
You're passionate about making a difference and bringing genuine care to everything you do. You will have:
* 3+ years' experience in disability support, including complex needs and/or behaviours of concern.
* Qualifications in Disability, Community Services, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of the NDIS and person‐centred practice.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organisation, initiative, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Anhetic, solutions-focused, and outcome-driven approach.
To be successful you must have and maintain the following compliance;
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
* Valid national police check (willing to obtain new)
* Working with Children check (Employee)
* Driver's licence and own vehicle (including comprehensive insurance)
* CPR & First Aid Certificate
