Your part in our UnitingCare team
The Targeted Family Support program aims to support young people at risk of entering the youth justice system by reducing harm and addressing risk‐taking behaviours early. It works alongside their families to strengthen safety, build parenting capacity, and connect them with community supports to create positive sustainable change.
As a Family Counsellor, you'll provide
* A holistic response to the needs of each individual in the family and to the family unit as a whole.
* Assessment, counselling support and referral options to families, parents and young people and/or workshops as appropriate.
What makes a difference for us?
* Hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services or Behavioural Science or higher from a recognised tertiary institution.
* Sound knowledge of and demonstrated experience in providing counselling and related services within a therapeutic context to a range of clients with issues including, but not limited to, domestic and family violence, financial wellbeing, sexual abuse, child abuse, relationship discord, and grief and loss.
* Current drivers licence.
* Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
