About the opportunity
The Westmead Applied Research Centre is seeking a Research Administration Officer.The Research Administration Officer actively contributes to clinical trial activities. They lead data capture and entry operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with critical regulations. They also building strong relationships with key clinical trial stakeholders and contribute to quality by aligning clinical trial procedures with Good Clinical Practice and respective SOPs.
Please note: This role will be a maternity leave cover
Your key responsibilities will be to:
* actively contribute to various clinical trial activities, assisting in the coordination and operation of trials
* lead data capture and entry for clinical trials, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and other relevant regulations
* review and enforce adherence to ethics guidelines, WHS requirements, and other relevant standards in the conduct of clinical trials
* develop and maintain robust relationships with clinical trial stakeholders, participating in research meetings and facilitating communication among various entities
* oversee quality activities, ensuring clinical trial documents, ethics applications, and participant data align with GCP and relevant SOPs
* undertake other duties appropriate within the classification level as required.
About you
* demonstrated experience in basic clinical trials administration or experience in a similar field
* bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience
* experience in patient recruitment is desirable
* excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated level of tact and discretion in dealing with a variety of matters
* ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
