With strong ongoing growth, we are seeking multiple Business Analysts at Senior Consultant and Manager level to join our Canberra team in a contractor capacity and support major government transformation programs.
Roles Available
We are hiring Business Analysts to engage in the following work:
1. Process analysis, mapping and optimisation:
* Conduct analysis and documentation of business processes
* Facilitate and deliver process design workshops
* Develop process maps, workflows, RACI matrices and supporting artefacts
* Align process designs with operating model requirements
* Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and streamlining
* Use data and analysis to inform optimisation initiatives
2. Requirements gathering, documenting and tracing:
* Lead and conduct business, functional and non-functional requirements gathering
* Analyse legislation, policy and operational processes to derive system and business requirements
* Establish and maintain traceability across requirements, processes, solutions and legislative/policy obligations
* Validate requirements with leadership and stakeholders
* Ensure requirements remain aligned throughout solution development
3. Stakeholder management:
* Engage with diverse government stakeholders
* Build alignment around business needs and solution direction
* Provide options and advice where requirements may not fully align with technical or solution constraints
4. Solution evaluation & testing:
* Participate in UAT, including business triage
* Support validation that the solution meets user and business needs
Qualifications & Experience Required
Candidates should bring:
* 3+ years' experience as a Business Analyst delivering work aligned to at least one of the above
* Strong analytical capability, structured problem-solving and the ability to translate complexity into clear, actionable outputs
* Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to produce precise, well-structured and high-quality documentation
* Demonstrated experience engaging diverse stakeholders and building alignment across business, technical and project teams
* Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and to confidently engage senior stakeholders
* Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high standards of detail and structure
* Knowledge of BABOK and BPMN 2.0 is preferred but not essential
You must be based in Canberra and hold a minimum Baseline Security Clearance.
