About the role As a Theatre Support Officer, you will help create a safe, well-prepared and culturally responsive environment for patients and clinical teams.
You'll support the effective functioning of our Operating Suite through hands-on assistance, equipment preparation, and collaborative teamwork.
Key Responsibilities Safely transport patients and assist theatre staff, including participating in on-call duties.
Prepare operating theatres with required equipment, instruments and supplies.
Replenish surgical supplies, manage clinical waste, and maintain infection control standards.
Clean, disinfect and reset theatres and equipment between procedures.
Maintain patient confidentiality, privacy and dignity.
Participate in ongoing training, quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
Follow all WHS, policies and procedures to ensure a safe, high-quality service.
Provide culturally safe and respectful care to Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and culturally diverse patients.

Requirements Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
