Your Role
St John of God Murdoch Hospital
You will be an experienced Surgical Registrar committed to delivering high-quality clinical care, working collaboratively under the supervision of consultant staff within designated teaching units. This role involves the comprehensive assessment and management of patients' clinical needs, alongside providing leadership, education, and mentorship to junior medical staff.

We offer flexible contract options of 6, 12, or 24 months, with an immediate start preferred.
Position
* Evaluation of patients including medical history taking and physical examination under the direction of the consultant.
* Contribute to all aspects of the clinical care of patients who are admitted to hospital ensuring good communication with consultants, fellows, junior medical staff and all other members of the team including nursing staff, allied health and pastoral services both onsite and offsite.
* Provide clinical supervision and teaching to junior medical staff.
* Lead or supervise documentation (minimum daily) of all relevant details of the patients' care whilst in hospital, admission, history and examination, results of investigations, care plan, interdisciplinary consultation advice, discharge and follow-up plans.
* Assist junior medical staff to arrange investigations (radiology, pathology, microbiology, haematology, biochemistry etc) and document results.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary management of patients, including attendance at the daily huddle, consultation requests for Allied Health or other medical specialties and nurse case managers.
You will be eligible for registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA), with a minimum of 3 years clinical experience and at least 12 months experience within Australian Healthcare.
You will be looking to gain experience and further your career within a hospital that offers a supportive working environment with exposure to various procedures. Highly regarded will be the completion of the skills courses conducted by the Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) or equivalent, and the completion of the RACS Operating with respect eLearning module.

* Salary: $125,010 to $170,682 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
* Professional development allowance $11,381 pro rata per annum if part time.
