Indulkana Anangu School is situated on the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands in the far north of South Australia. Guided by our school values-kunpu (strong), wanganara (respectful), and nintiringkupai (smart learners)-we are committed to providing education for young people living in the Indulkana community.
We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Senior Girls Teacher (Years 8-12) to join our team. In this role, you will deliver the Australian Curriculum and SACE to female students, working flexibly and responsively to support their learning and wellbeing. You will collaborate closely with Tailored Learning Program facilitators and Anangu Educators to design and implement flexible learning options that meet the diverse needs and aspirations of senior girls in our community. Indulkana Anangu School maintains a strong two-way, culturally responsive approach to teaching, valuing bilingual education and partnerships with Anangu staff, families, and the broader community.
Indulkana is a well-resourced community, featuring a health clinic, community store, and the renowned Iwantja Arts Centre, with Marla located approximately 50 km away on the Stuart Highway.

Describe your experience teaching SACE subjects and/or creating flexible learning options in a secondary context. How do you ensure all students have access to relevant, meaningful learning pathways?
Indulkana Anangu School values bilingual education and teamwork with Anangu Educators. How would you support students to grow in both English and First Language, and work collaboratively with Anangu Educators to deliver culturally responsive and effective teaching and learning experiences?
Outline your approach to building strong, positive relationships with students in remote Aboriginal communities. How do you foster engagement, wellbeing, and a culturally safe learning environment?
In addition to the salary, the following financial incentives apply:
Country Zone Allowance and Locality Allowance (approx $20,000pa)
Fully Subsidised Accommodation including all utilities (accommodation may be shared)

Waivers of indexation and reduction of HELP debts
To ensure employer compliance of duty of care responsibilities given the unique environment of the Anangu Lands, a wellness check will be conducted for any Teacher nominated for this position and prior to any offer of employment.
