Join a respected, independent organisation that helps improve government performance and build public trust. We do this by investigating how well public sector programs and services are working, and report our findings and recommendations to Parliament and the community. This has a significant impact in shaping public administration. Responsibilities

Assist with audits and support teams to deliver audits within agreed cost, time and quality standards. Utilise information technology and computer systems to complete audit work, analyse data, and prepare reports. Effectively supervise team members, providing clear instructions, timely review of work completed, and constructive feedback. Assist with the collection and analysis of evidence and data. Takes interview notes and maintains working papers to record evidence of audit work. Maintain regular and professional relationships with personnel in organisations under review. Assist in preparing elements of draft reports on audit outcomes for discussion with clients and internal review prior to tabling in Parliament; and support the process of tabling reports including preparing briefings and presentations. Contribute to team cohesiveness and maintain professional and cooperative relationships within the Office. Undertake other relevant duties as directed. Performance is measured against Key Performance Indicators developed and agreed to in annual performance plans. Key Qualifications

Experience working in small teams to solve complex problems or complete research projects. Comfortable with data analysis and spotting patterns or insights. Interest in how government works and how public services can improve. Ability to write clearly about complex topics for different audiences. Desirable Requirements

Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline from a recognised tertiary institution, or ongoing attainment of such a qualification. Driver’s licence. Pre‑Employment Checks

Conviction checks covering arson, violent crimes, sex‑related offences, drug and alcohol related offences, dishonesty, deception, false declarations, property damage, serious traffic offences, public order offences and executive power offences. Disciplinary action in previous employment check. Identification check. Hours
