Job Description
Our client is seeking Physical Construction Security Officers to support the management and delivery of project security requirements on an upcoming construction project. This role is responsible for providing site‐based physical security support throughout the construction phase, ensuring compliance with client security requirements and the project security plan in a fast‐paced and dynamic environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Act as the primary security liaison, maintaining daily communication with Regional Security Managers, Data Centre Security Managers, client security representatives, certifying authorities and relevant stakeholders.
* Provide end‐to‐end security oversight during the construction phase, including attendance at security assurance Hold and Witness Point inspections.
* Collate and submit security assurance reports to the Security Assurance Team.
* Document, track and manage security‐related issues and incidents.
* Respond to and record security incidents in accordance with the Security Response Plan.
* Monitor compliance with project security requirements and proactively identify and mitigate security risks.
* Facilitate meetings with clients, resolve security compliance issues and report on outcomes.
* Apply a high level of attention to detail with a structured, process‐driven approach.
* Maintain required security clearances and accreditations in line with project requirements.
Knowledge/Skills required
* Experience in physical security and security management.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Physical Security Operations role.
* Deep understanding of the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
* Experience in construction security oversight or a related field.
* Ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast‐paced environment.
* Strong communication skills and a customer‐focused approach.
* Experience working in high‐security environments is desirable.
