ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join the Woodside Energy Apprenticeship Program at Karratha Gas Plant and Pluto LNG Plant, commencing in February 2027.
This four‐year apprenticeship program is designed to provide a comprehensive practical and theoretical base to develop trade skills, technical knowledge and safe work practices.
Upon completion, you will earn a nationally recognised trade qualification.
Positions available in 2027:
* Electrical Instrumentation Apprenticeship – Certificate III in Industrial Electrician and Certificate IV in Instrumentation.
* Mechanical Fitting Apprenticeship – Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
* Open to applicants who live locally in the City of Karratha or can demonstrate a strong connection to the local community.
* Completed secondary education to year 12 (or equivalent) as a minimum.
* Interest in the chosen trade through work experience, hobbies or interests.
* Strong work ethic with reliability.
* Team player with good communication and problem‐solving skills.
* Self‐motivated, results‐driven, curious, willing to learn and take on new challenges.
* Desire to further your career.
* Good computer skills.
* A "C" class driver's licence.
* Ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification card (MSIC).
* Adaptability to work 12‐hour shifts (including night shifts) under physically demanding conditions.
* Committed to maintaining good physical fitness and prioritising personal health and well‐being.
